including, but not limited to, Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.9 OS with Unbreakable Enterprise
Kernel (UEK) 3, RHEL 6.6 OS, or OVM 3.3.1

Operating Protocol Mode: CNA and HBA

Environment: Universal HBA installed in an x86 system, during functional check
procedures
Issue:
If you are using any operating system based on the Red Hat Linux operating system, you might
receive “vpd r/w failed” messages upon issuing functional check commands, such as
dmesg
and
lspci
.
Workaround:
None. Ignore these messages as they do not adversely affect the functionality of the universal
HBA.
