5.1 Operation
The Operation Menu shows a momentary state of dryer. In the following Figure, adsorption
takes place in the left and regeneration in the right column. Below the label Adsorbing is
time that remains for adsorption. Similarly, the time below the label Regenerating is time
that remains for regeneration.
After the regeneration time expires, the right column becomes idle. That is, the purge valve
closes and pressure in the right column builds up slowly.
After the adsorption period in the left column is over, dryer passes sequence of three states
to switch columns. The sequence is necessary to suppress pressure fluctuations in the outlet.
As the two columns have switched roles, adsorption takes place in the right and
regeneration in the left column. Again, the remaining time for adsorption and regeneration
is show under the respective labels.
