To fine-tune focus for the same lens but in a different area
of the frame, highlight the lens name using the
FG
buttons
and press the
I
button.

You will be prompted to choose the area of the frame for which focus will be fine-tuned.
With zoom lenses, you can press the INFO button to choose between long (telephoto) and
short (wide) focal lengths.
Choose a fine-tuning value using the
FG
buttons and press the OK button.
The selected value will be saved. If you chose [Default Data], the options shown in Step 2
will be displayed.
If you chose [Lens Data], the dialog shown in Step 3 will be displayed. The display will show
the name of the lens for which the fine-tuning value was saved.
Rotate the front dial to zoom in and check focus.
Before pressing the OK button, press the shutter button to take a test shot and check focus.
To save another fine-tuning value for the current lens, press the
I
button and repeat the
process from Step 4.
Repeat the process from Step 4.
When the process is complete, press the MENU button repeatedly to exit the menus.
