Setting Up With an Alarm System
Registering CO alarms on the alarm system
One of the CO alarms must be registered as the master device on an alarm system from
the Protect or ProHome series. The master device should be installed centrally and in
transmission range of the alarm system.
Warning
! Hearing damage through loud alarm signal! The
alarm signal is loud and could cause hearing damage. Do
not test the product close to your ears. Use appropriate
ear protectors when connecting the CO alarms.

Select the
Register
menu option on the alarm system.

Insert two appropriate batteries in the battery compartment of one of the CO
alarms (master device). Pay attention that the batteries are inserted the right way
around.

The base unit display indicates that registration has been completed successfully
on the alarm system and the CO alarm issues an acoustic signal to confirm the
process.

Connect further CO alarms to the master device (see Interconnecting the CO alarms
without an alarm system on Page 12).
Complete a function test following registration!
Press the button (4). The function of the alarm signal, signal LEDs and, where appropri

ate, connected devices are tested.
