Shape of Pull-stud for Thru-spindle Coolant (Optional)
For the machine with the thru-spindle coolant system, be sure to use the pull-stud bolt for exclusive
use. Use the specified pull-stud bolt even when the thru-spindle tool is not used.
As an example, the figure below shows the pull-stud bolt for MAS-II.

The machine with the thru-spindle coolant system adopts a rotary joint at the spindle upper part as a
device for discharging coolant.
Broken or clogged coolant filters may cause damage to this rotary joint. Clean the filters and change
the filter elements periodically.
It the SMC's bag filter is used for filtration, change the element promptly when it becomes dirty. If
this filter is used in the clogged state for a long time, it may become a cause of malfunction. (The fil-
ter varies with the machine specifications.)
