The fax can detect the no-paper condition by a photosensor.
When the paper has run out in the local copy operation, the
scanning will stop with “PAPER OUT/JAM” on the LCD and an
ALARM LED turns on without an alarm tone.
When the paper has run out while a message is being
received and the no-paper reception is activated, the LCD
display will show “MSG. IN MEMORY”, and the ALARM LED
turns on.
