17 REMOTE RECEIVE
This function lets you use an attached phone to tell your
fax machine to switch from telephone to fax mode so it
can receive an incoming fax. Use the keypad of an
external telephone to enter the remote receive number you
have programmed into your fax machine.
In addition, if your fax machine is in TAD mode, a caller
can enter the programmed remote receive number after
leaving a voice message; this enables the fax machine to
receive a fax from the caller. Refer to the “Answering
Mode, Using Your Fax with an Answering Machine
[TAD]” section of this handbook.
Available settings are OFF (default), 00, 11, 22, 33, 44, 55,
66, 77, 88, 99, **, and ##.
18 MEM./FEEDER SW.
The fax unit is set to scan documents in and transmit them
from memory. This function controls how manual feed
transmissions are performed. Available settings are
FEEDER (the default setting) and MEMORY.
To perform a manual feed transmission with FEEDER
selected:
1 Load document.
2 Press Select Function
3 Press BROADCAST

4 Enter the location, then press START.
If you do a lot of broadcast transmissions, change this
setting to MEMORY.
To perform a broadcast transmission with MEMORY
selected:
1 Load document.
2 Press Select Function.
