3.2 Opening the Scale
Use these procedures in order to replace the Load Cell, any of the Printed Circuit Boards
and/or LCD Displays.
Separating the Top and Bottom Housings
Common hand tools are sufficient to disassemble the Valor 1000 scales. Turn the scale off
and unplug the power cord or remove the battery before you begin.
1. Lift off the Weighing Pan from the Pan Support.
2. Remove the Pan Support.
3. Turn the scale over. Remove the five screws on the bottom and one screw under the
LFT cover.
4. Separate Top Housing from Bottom Housing. Avoid straining the cables that connect
the Main PCB to the parts in the Bottom Housing. (Lay the two housings close to each
other, so cable is not strained.)
