Adventurer Pro Grain Test Scale
EN-14
3.6.3 Dockage Mode
Dockage is material other than the predominant grain that can be easily removed with sieves
and cleaning devices. The dockage mode is used to determine the percent of waste material
contained in the sample. Before starting, select the test weight container and dockage type in
the Mode Menu (See Section 3.7.5).
Store Dockage Reference Weight
Place the container on the pan and tare by pressing the
ON O/T
button. The tare weight is stored in memory.
Fill the container with sample material and press the
%
button.
If the current weight is less than the minimum allowed
reference weight (10 grams), the secondary display
alternates between “MIN WT ERR” and “NOT STORED” twice
while returning to current mode.
The scale then returns to the previous mode if the minimum
weight is not accepted as shown.
If the sample weight is greater than or equal to 10 grams, the sample weight is established as
the Dockage Reference weight and is stored in memory as the 100% reference weight for the
dockage calculation. Additionally, the tare weight is stored in memory as the dockage tare
weight. With the sample still on the pan, the primary display shows 100.00 if Positive Dockage
is selected in the Dockage menu. If Negative Dockage is selected, the primary display shows
0.00. The user can process the sample to remove any undesirable material. After processing,
the user will place the container back on the pan, and the display will read the dockage value.
The % display icon indicates percent and the MEM icon indicates a dockage reference weight
is stored in memory. A display icon also annunciates stability. The secondary display shows
+DOCKAGE or -DOCKAGE.
Remove container from the scale. Scale may
now be used to weigh by pressing the
UNIT
button. The MEM icon indicates that a
Dockage Reference Weight is stored.
