The unit is

The coolant water is on.
The thermocouple is not
plugged in.
Slurry cup paddle is out of
alignment.
Pressure leak.
Turn off the cooling water.
Plug in the thermocouple.
Make sure the paddle sits on the pivot
bearing properly.
Check for pressure fluctuations or
leaks.
The unit is not
cooling
The unit is not cooling.
Cooling solid state relay
is bad.
Make sure the cooling water is
switched on at the source.
Make sure the cooling switch is set to
Auto or On.
Make sure the Heat switch is Off.
Make sure the cooling lines are free
from obstructions.
The cooling solenoid is not functioning
(Contact OFITE).
Replace the cooling solid state relay
(Contact OFITE).
Thermocouple
Thermocou-
ple will not fit
into the slurry
cup
The thermocouple is bent.
The shaft on the slurry
cup is bent and/or
damaged.
The diaphragm is
damaged.
Straighten the thermocouple. Replace
the thermocouple.
Replace the slurry cup shaft.
Replace the diaphragm.
Pressure
The unit
will not hold
pressure
The cell cap o-ring is
leaking.
There is a leak at one of
the fittings.
The pressure release
valve (PRV) is damaged.
Not enough oil in reservoir
Replace the cell cap o-ring.
Trace the tubing and tighten the
leaking connection.
Replace the PRV.
Check the level in the reservoir and
add if needed.
