Machine-specific engineering and preparation
Note
Ensure that the DHW sensor is correctly positioned
and extends beyond the tank insulation into the
interior of the DHW tank. This is the only way in
which the temperature can be measured correctly.
Mixer sensor:
If, in addition to a direct heating circuit, your system also
has a heating circuit with mixing valve, then a mixer sensor
must be installed. The mixer sensor is supplied with the
heat pump, as a contact sensor including band clamp and
heat conducting paste.
»
Install the mixer sensor immediately downstream
of the heating circuit pump for the heating circuit
with mixing valve, on a (metal) pipe made of a good
heat-conducting material.
8.5.5 Pumps and servomotors
Pumps (heating circuit circulation pumps, DHW charging
pump) and actuators (3-way switching module, mixing
valve) are connected to the corresponding terminals in
the control box.
Material damage
A test run of the pumps and servomotors may be
conducted only on a system that has been pre-
pared for commissioning. The hydraulics must be
fully connected.
8.5.6 PSU signal contact

0 V
PSU shutdown active
Tariff switching on the heat pump system
In the case of tariff switching (with interrupted power sup
-
ply), the heat pump is temporarily shut down by the power
supply utility (PSU).
Uninterrupted tariff
In the case of tariff switching with uninterrupted power
supply, the heat pump is temporarily shut down by the
power supply utility. A PSU signal contact is provided for
this purpose on the indoor unit. To activate this function, it
is necessary to remove a cable jumper in the control box
and connect the PSU signal contact cable.
Shutdown by means of a tariff contactor
In the case of shutdown by means of a tariff contactor
installed on site (sealed by the PSU), the power supply to
the heat pump compressor is disconnected. Here, it is es-
sential to connect an auxiliary contact to the tariff contactor
of the PSU signal contact on the indoor unit.
Night tariff
Where tariff switching takes place within the meter (night
tariff), the PSU signal contact is not connected.
8.5.7 Smart grid
The smart grid function must be configured during com
-
missioning in order for it to work. Information regarding
the settings options can be found in the operating manual.
8.5.8 High limit safety cut-out (STB-PUM-EEZ)
When using surface heating systems (e.g. underfloor heat
-
ing, wall heating), provide an appropriate high limit safety
cut-out. In the event of a fault, this will directly interrupt the
heat generator pump.
»
Implement the contact as N/C contact.
»
Use a high limit safety cut-out approved for a switch-
ing load of at least 1 A (230 V).
