4.1.3.6 Filling the system
Flushing out the hot water system
Before turning on the water supply, open all taps.
Allow the system to fill and flush out all flux and
debris from the installation.
Filling the heating system:

Fill the heating system via the drain valve.

Vent the pipework.
NOTE
For easier filling, the 3-way switching
valve (multifunctional assembly) is set
to a position suitable for filling at the
factory. The cable from the switching
valve to the OTE controller has been
disconnected at the factory.

Once the system is successfully
filled, connect the plugs
PIN3/N/PE
and PIN4/N/PE on the OTE
controller.
Filling the DHW tank:
NOTE
Some fluxes used to solder pipes and
fittings need to be flushed out with hot
water.

Heat the cylinder to its normal
operating temperature and flush all
pipe work with hot water to ensure
all flux and debris is removed from
the system.

Fill the DHW tank via the cold water
connection.
- Open all downstream draw-off valves
until the appliance is filled and the
pipework is free from air.
- Adjust the flow rate. Observe the
maximum permissible flow rate with fully
opened valve (see Specification). If
necessary, reduce the flow rate at the
throttle on the safety assembly.

Carry out a leakage test.
- Test the safety valve.
4.1.3.7 Venting the system

To vent the system, temporarily open the air
vent valve (1) on the multifunctional
assembly.
There is another air vent valve underneath the
top appliance cladding.

Remove the top appliance cladding.
- Remove the thermal insulation material
underneath.
- To vent the system, temporarily open the air
vent valve (2).
