Tester waits for any
message from tested AIS station for slot
synchronization and then transmits request –
Message 15 to the tested AIS station.
Then the Tester goes to receive mode and waits
for Message 3. All other messages will be
ignored.
The received Message 3 will be displayed in following view:

– the AIS channel where the message is
received;

– the number of Message in accordance
with M.1371-5;

The message 3 as the response to request should be transferred and received in 60
seconds after the sound was terminated. If the AIS station has reception indicator
(usually it is RX Led), after the sound was terminated this LED should confirm the
reception of the request.
Interrogate Msg5
Menu – allows to send the request for message 5 (Msg5).
In accordance with M.1371-5 Message-5 is Static and voyage related data.
