Mode and Keypad Section
This section contains buttons associated with Mode selection, writing
Programs and Performances to memory and selecting Programs or
Performances directly by three-digit entry.
WRITE Button
Pressing this button starts the procedure for saving Programs or
Performances into memory. The procedure for saving Programs is
detailed in the section
Saving a Sound
on page 6. The procedure for
saving whole Performances or Part Programs is detailed in the section
Saving a Performance
on page 8.
If however, this button is pressed while the Global Menu is currently active
in a
Menu
, instead of saving the currently edited Program, the current set-
tings of all Global parameters will be saved into memory. (The display will
briefly show ‘GLOBALS SAVED’). The next time the machine is switched
on, these values will be remembered.
MENUS Button
Pressing this button selects a
Menu
. The LED located above the MENUS
button will be lit. If already in a Menu when the button was originally
pressed, the Menu will be cancelled and
Program Mode
will be selected
(if currently in
Program Mode
) or
Performance Mode
(if currently in
Performance Mode
).
From a
Menu
,
Program Mode
may be also be selected at any time by
pressing the PROG button or
Performance Mode
selected by pressing
the PERF button.
PERF Button
Pressing this button selects
Performance Mode
and the LED above the
PERF button lights.
In
Performance Mode
, a new Performance may be selected by either the
PERF / PROG / PAGE buttons, the PERF / PROG / DATA knob or by typ-
ing in a three digit entry by using the 0 - 9 keypad / Menu Select buttons.
PROG Button
Pressing this button selects
Program Mode
. The LED above the PROG
button lights..
In
Program Mode
, a new Program may be selected by either the PERF /
PROG / PAGE buttons, the PERF / PROG / DATA knob or by typing in a
three digit entry by using the 0 - 9 keypad / Menu Select buttons.
0 - 9 Keypad / Menu Select Buttons
In a
Menu
, these buttons may be used to switch to a different Menu.
At all other times, pressing one of these buttons will initiate
Program
Mode
or
Performance Mode. A
three-digit entry must be entered so that
the appropriate Program or Performance may be recalled from memory.
For this reason, it is important to make sure that the MENUS button has
already been pressed before using these buttons to select a different
Menu.
