This menu command is accessed by tapping the Palm m500/505’s menu icon, tapping the
Advanced
menu, then selecting the
Config
menu command, as shown in Figure 78.

Config
will display the
Config
window, shown in Figure 79.

The following list discusses the configuration parameters displayed in the
Config
window.
Configuration Label
Label Description
IP Address
This text box accepts the IP address that has been assigned to you by your
service provider. You must have an entry in this text box in order to use
your modem.
Primary DNS
This text box accepts the IP address of your service provider’s primary
domain name system. You must have an entry in this text box in order to use
your modem.
Secondary DNS
This text box accepts the IP address of your service provider’s secondary
domain name system. You must have an entry in this text box in order to use
your modem.
Auto Power Off
This list box allows you to turn your modem’s
Auto Power
function on or off.
If this function is enabled and you close an active network session, the
modem will disconnect (also called
de-registering
) from the network and
power off. If this function is disabled and you close the active network ses-
sion, the modem will not disconnect from the network.
