7. Decommissioning, returning and disposal
7.1. Decommissioning
Decommission the scan head only if you want to return it to Novanta or if you want to
dispose of it.

Have ready
Protective caps for fiber tip and fiber coupling
Protective cover for the laser beam exit (incl. screws)
Tissues or similar, in order to absorb leaking cooling water immediately
Suitable screwdriver for the 4 M8 mounting screws of the scan head
Safety precautions
• Switch off the superordinate machine (power supply, purge gas and cooling water),
in particular the laser and moving parts.
