1. Ensure both trailers have the tongues properly
installed (See Section 4.5 Trailer Connection -
Two Trailers Nested/locked).
2. Connect one trailer to the towing vehicle (See
Section 4.5 Trailer Connection - Two Trailers
Nested/locked).
3. For the trailer connected to the towing vehicle,
obtain the hitch adapter from its storage holder
at the front of the trailer.
4. Proceed to the rear of the lead trailer and
remove the two 1/2” hitch pins from the
coupling cradle.
5. Insert the hitch adapter into the coupling cradle
and secure with the two 1/2” hitch pins that
were removed.
6. Connect the tongue coupler of the rear trailer
to the hitch adapter on the lead trailer.
7. Lock the coupler and secure with the locking
pin. Manually lift the tongue to ensure it has
been properly secured.
8. Cross the safety chains under the tongue and
connect them to the eyelets on the lead trailer’s
bumper.
9. Connect the running light plug on the tongue
to the receptacle on the bumper of the lead
trailer.
10. Ensure all jacks on both trailers are fully raised
and secured for transport.
11. Turn on the towing vehicle’s hazard lights and
do a walk around to ensure all running lights
are in proper working order. Also, inspect all
trailers for:
• any loose objects
• light post fully lowered
• cabinet door closed and secure
• sign and is rotated to the travel position and
locked
• gate arm secure
• all locking points have proper hitch pins and
locking pins in place
