3. Start the counter for the chain being lubricated by selecting the
appropriate button on the screen. Verify that the oil is leaving the
bottle by observing a rising air bubble within the bottle at the rate of
one bubble every 4–8 seconds.
4. When the counter has counted down, an alarm will sound. Repeat
this process for the opposite chain.
5. Remove the oiler bottle when complete and clean the oiler nose
guides.
After 400 hours of operation remove the four conveyor sprocket guards.
Examine the conveyor for loose, tight or stressed components.
Indications that the chain tension needs adjusting include buckling and
kinking as the chain returns into the exit end, or the chain is not taut on
the exit end middle sprocket. Before making any adjustment to the chain,
lubricate it with a high temperature lubricant (10W30) to be sure it is
operating properly.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to adjust the conveyor chain tension
unless the conveyor and rails are cool at room temperature.
Serious damage may occur to the motor or gearbox drive
system.
WARNING: Before performing the following instructions, turn
power off at the main disconnect switch to prevent electrical
shock and damage to the circuit boards. Observe local Lock
Out Tag Out procedures.
1. Raise the machine cover by selecting RAISE COVER from Menu.
2. Adjust the tension by removing or adding a link to the chain. The
tensioning springs are located at the entrance end of the rail brackets.
NOTE: If your Select Cure IR oven has a product support conveyor,
the tension spring for the fixed rail is located in the cooling station and
can only be checked with the cover raised. Shorten the chains when
they exceed more than 50% of their expansion room while at room
temperature.
NOTE: Refer to
Product Support Conveyor in the Appendix for more
information.
