After 200 hours inspect, clean, and lubricate the conveyor by following
these procedures.
1. Inspect the product transport chain for any worn or stressed
components.
2. Clean the lead screw tubes with alcohol every 400 hours. Dirt or
coating buildup on the lead screw tubes may put unnecessary strain
on the product width components.
3. Lubricate the product transport chain. Before applying oil, clean the
conveyor system of any small metal filings. These wear off during
normal use of the chain.
NOTE: Use a light, high temperature synthetic oil such as 10W30.
The automatic oiler consists of two pin conveyor rail end nose guides
incorporating oiler bottle holders, an oiling bottle with needle feed, and an
applying wick. The pin conveyor nose guides are located on the
entrance end of the conveyor rails. As the oil is applied, it moves with the
chain into the heated area, then heats and spreads throughout the chain.
1. Select CLEAN/LUBRICATE CONVEYOR from the Maintenance
System window.
2. Place a factory supplied oiler bottle in the oil dispersing nose guide
located on the entrance end of the pin conveyor rails.
