USER RS485
The
MultiCONT User RS485 interface
provides serial data transfer to the central
process controller computer or to a PLC. The following can be queried from
MultiCONT through the communication line:
system properties (MultiCONT configuration, relays, current outputs,
transmitters, errors, number of Universal Interface Modules, etc)
error list
device assignment to relays or current outputs
configuration of relays and current outputs
output values of the devices
The MultiCONT units have separate addresses so they can be connected into a
system. (max. 30 MultiCONT-s).
2 communication protocols are available:
HART 5 (default)
MODBUS RTU

Data Logger
Logger capability of the MultiCONT has two main parts with the following functions:
Trend logger: in a separate board in PED- and PRD- types. Storing can be done to the FLASH or the memory card. In case of trend logging the ID of the
transmitter, the primary value and three additional selectable values will be stored.
Time-controlled logging whereby an item is stored after a programmed time elapse or
Event-controlled logging whereby an item is stored a pre-set condition is fulfilled.
Two types of time-window logging can be used for flow-metering. Storing is done to the FLASH memory.
In case of “Time-window TOT” TOT is calculated in a selected time interval, monitoring the average, minimum and maximum value of the flow.
In case of “Time-window FM” the 8 highest values of flow are stored with time in a selected time interval.
