Testing the Microphone
Calibrating the Touch Screen
If you forget your PIN and the answer to your secret question…
If you forget both your PIN and the answer to your secret question, please follow
these steps.
On the
PIN Input Screen
, select I FORGOT.

If the Touch Screen is not responding properly or if you feel the stylus contact point is
not aligned correctly, take the following steps to recalibrate the Touch Screen.
In the event you are unable to use the stylus at all, press and hold L R Button
+ START, then turn the power on. The
Calibration Screen
will be the first screen to
display.
Confirm that the microphone is operating properly.
On the next screen, enter the answer to your
secret question.
If you successfully answer the secret question,
proceed with editing your Parental Controls
settings.
If you’ve forgotten the answer
to your secret question…

Select I FORGOT.

An Enquiry Number will be displayed.
Ring the number given in the Nintendo DSi
Operations Manual and provide the Enquiry
Number shown here. You will then be issued
a master key.

Touch OK.

Enter the master key and select OK.

Carefully touch the centre of

Calibration points will appear in the upper-
left corner, lower-right corner, and the centre
of the screen. Touch each point to complete
calibration.

When CALIBRATION COMPLETE appears
on the screen, touch each of the four

When you’ve finished confirming calibration,
touch OK to finish.
If you were unable to accurately touch
,
select TRY AGAIN to restart the calibration
process.

Hold the stylus
as straight as
possible
Face the microphone and speak.

Confirm that the volume bar fills up with
coloured bars.
If the volume bar fills with coloured bars
when you speak, the microphone is working
properly.

Touch QUIT when you’ve finished confirming that the microphone is working.
