Serial Number
The unique identifier found on both the ID plate and on the product packaging for
each device.
Smart
(alerts)
When smart alerts are enabled, you have the ability set a single threshold (EDI
®
score). Smart alerts are only available after an initial Learning Period.
WiFi
One of the two wireless connection methods (other is cellular) required for your
device to regularly check-in and post data. Periodically your device will need to be
connected to a WiFi network while charging to receive firmware updates.
Device Modes
MODE
DEFINITION
Broadcast
(mode)
The state (mode) of your device when it can be wirelessly connected to a nearby
smartphone or computer for getting your device on a WiFi network and/or
assessing its cellular signal.
Lockout
(mode)
The state (mode) of your device when an alert is issued. LED will be and remain
solid red during this state until alert is acknowledged within the App or reset by
pressing the power button (or after 1 hour of no acknowledgement when it
automatically resets).
Sleep
(mode)
The state (mode) of your device after a period of inactivity (no motion) to
conserve battery/power. LED will be off and remain in this state until the system
senses motion or detects your horse
(wherein it will go to “standby”).
Standby
(mode)
The state (mode) of your device for 5 minutes when first powering on or coming
off charger. LED will blink every ~10 seconds and remain in this state until there is
either a period of inactivity (wherein it will go to “sleep”) or the system detects
your horse.
