Manual Alerts
When manual alerts are enabled, you have the ability set your own threshold for any of the 3 parameters,
including heart rate (HR), respiration (RR), and hyperactivity. To trigger an alert, any of the following conditions
must be met.
•
HR:
The average/median HR value (bpm) over a 5-minute period breaches your threshold.
•
RR:
The average/median RR value (bpm) over a 5-minute period breaches your threshold.
•
Hyperactivity:
The cumulative duration of novel events* over the past 1 hour breaches your threshold.
NOTE
: Novel event parameters are based upon a population model if your horse has not yet completed their
Learning Period (refer to
).
To set/enable manual alerts:
1.
Select a horse with an assigned device from home screen. If alerts are disabled, you will see the
“Disable” button highlighted and the term “Disabled” in the header along with the disabled icon ( ).
2.
Click on
“Manual” to open settings screen and slide any or all of the 3 toggle switches
to the right to set
your manual thresholds (HR, RR, hyperactivity) and select “Apply Manual Alert” to continue.
NOTE
: If
you do NOT select “Apply Manual Alert” your settings will NOT be saved.
3.
Confirm
your manual alert settings and select “Yes” to continue.

Confirm
alerts are enabled by the term “Manual” in the header along with the manual alert icon ( ).
