5 - WORKING OPERATIONS
When digging in hard soil, the digging capacity of the
bucket can be improved by using pressure from the boom
(2) . If the digging motion stops, lift and adjust the digging
depth.

In order to achieve a clean trench and avoid material col-
lecting in front of the backhoe, empty the bucket
(3) com-
pletely and rotate it inwards when digging. This way, all
the excess material will collect in the trench.

Emptying the bucket
In order to empty the bucket (1) , lift it up from the trench
completely and empty it at the dumping site.
Avoid vibrations or hitting motions between the ground
being excavated and the filled bucket, which can result
in wear and tear on the pins and bushings.
