Configuring Bandwidth Settings
After packets are assigned to a queue, a scheduling scheme can be assigned to an interface, using
either:
•
Committed Burst Size
– Indicates the maximum number of data bits transmitted within a
specific time interval.
•
Committed Information Rate
– Indicates the rate that data is transmitted. The rate is
averaged over a minimum time increment.
The
Bandwidth Page
allows network managers to define the bandwidth settings for a specified
egress interface. Modifying queue scheduling affects the queue settings globally. Queue shaping
can be based per queue and/or per interface. Shaping is determined by the lower specified value.
The queue shaping type is selected in the
Bandwidth Page
.
To define bandwidth settings:

Click
QoS > General > Bandwidth
. The
Bandwidth Page
opens:
