2.4. Installation Procedures
Prepare necessary cables, DC power adapter and serial connector.
Place GW5120 under the access point signal coverage area, or connect GW5120 to Ethernet
cable with RJ45 connector.
Connect GW5120 serial port to a serial device; make sure the connector and wiring of RS-232
is correct.
Plug in GW5120 to DC 9-48V power source (with DC-jack or 3-pin terminal bock connector),
buzzer will beep and the RUN LED will blink if GW5120 functions normally. For LED Status
sees Appendix D4.
Use
SerialManager
utility from the product CD to check the status of GW5120. If it starts up
successfully, IP and MAC address of GW5120 will be displayed. IP address, subnet mask and
gateway can also be set by
SerialManager
.
