7-10 Solving Problems

CAUTION

A Full restore deletes

all files on the hard drive and

replaces them with the original factory installed files.

Only use a Full Restore if the preinstalled software
is unusable.

Use the Product Recovery CD to perform a full restore as
follows:

Check the Product Recovery CD title and make sure that
it is the correct CD for your NEC Versa computer and
operating system.

Put the CD into the CD-ROM reader tray, close the
reader door, and reboot your computer.

Read the License Verification screen that appears. Use
the cursor keys or VersaGlide touchpad to position the
cursor on the Agree button. Press

Enter

or left click to

accept the agreement.

You have the option of rejecting the agreement (press
Reject) or exiting (press Exit). If you reject the agree-
ment, the recovery program exits.

In the Recovery Mode screen, use the cursor arrows or
VersaGlide touchpad to select the type of full recovery
procedure to use.
