(3) Turning off AC power
a) To turn off the power, turn off the host system or the FC-AL switch, and then perform the
procedure shown in "(2) Notes on turning off AC power".
b) Turn OFF the two power switches on the rear of the disk array unit. If an additional FC disk
enclosure is connected, turn OFF the two power switches on the rear of the disk array unit,
and then turn OFF the two power switches on the rear of the additional FC disk enclosure.
You can also turn OFF all the power switches on the disk array unit and the additional FC
disk enclosure at the same time.
The disk array unit has the redundant power configuration to prevent the entire unit from
shutting down due to a single failure. Therefore, when turning off the disk array unit, turn off
all the power switches (of the disk array unit and additional FC disk enclosures) at the rear of
the unit.
Be careful that data may be lost if you turn off the additional FC disk enclosures before the
disk array unit.
[Power-off procedure]
Turn off the power switches in the following order (1) to (3):
(1) Host system
(3) Power switches of additional FC disk enclosures
(May be turned off at the same time the power switches of disk
array unit are turned off.)
(2) Power switches of disk array unit
