Removing a 5 1/4-Inch Device

3 1/2-Inch Hard Drive Removal
Remove a 3 1/2-inch hard drive as follows.
1.
Remove the left side cover and front panel (see “Removing the Left Side
Cover” and “Front Panel Removal” earlier in this section).
2.
While holding the hard drive, remove the four screws securing the drive to
the chassis (see the following figure).
3.
Remove the hard drive from the top (or bottom) bracket of the chassis and
unplug the power and signal cables from the drive.
Note
:
When reinstalling the drive, note that all power
cables are keyed to fit only in the correct position.
