Upgrading Your System
Removing EMI Shields and Filler Panels
1.
Power off the system and remove the front panel as described earlier in this chapter.
2.
Locate the EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) shield and filler panel covering the bay into
which you are installing a peripheral device. The filler panel is released by pressing on its sides
and removing it from the slots in the EMI shield. Save the panel for reinstallation.
3.
The EMI shield is attached to the front of the chassis be two screws. Remove the screws and
EMI shield covering the bay into which you are installing a peripheral device. Save the shield
and screws for reinstallation.
