4. Replacement of Disk Array Controller
Replace the disk array controller in the following procedure:

め装置内の部品が高温になっています。十分に冷めたことを確認してから取り付け

Immediately after the server is powered off, its internal components such as hard
disk drives are very hot. Leave the server until its internal components fully cool
down before installing/removing any component.
With the power of the server being ON, shutdown OS, turn off the power of the
server, and pull out the power cords from the receptacles.

Remove the side cover and several components on the server appropriately.

Remove the SAS cable from the disk array controller.
Notice
Before removing the SAS cables, see the port numbers of the SAS
connectors on the disk array controller and those of the SAS cables to write
down the connecting configuration.
68.
Remove the screw fixing the disk array controller and remove the disk array
controller from the server.
Notice
Connect the removed additional battery to the disk array controller
installed after the replacement following the "N8103-94 Additional DAC
Battery User
’
s Guide".
Always write down the position of the removed PCI slot (PCI Express).
69.
Insert the replaced disk array controller into the same PCI slot (PCI Express) and
fix it with the screw.
70.
Connect all the cables removed in step 3 following the connecting configuration
written down previously.
71.
Install the side cover and other components removed in step 2 on the server.
72.
Connect the power cords to the receptacles and turn on the power of the server.
Make sure that the server is booted normally.
