CONFIGURING MOTHER BOARD JUMPERS
You can use the following procedure to clear the CMOS data in the server.
IMPORTANT:
Clearing the CMOS data resumes the factory-set configuration data.
Do not change any other switch settings. Any change may cause
the server to fail or malfunction.
The following describe the clearing procedure.
WARNING
Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the server.
Never attempt to disassemble, repair, or alter the server on any occasion other
than described in this manual. Failure to follow this instruction may cause an
electric shock or fire as well as malfunctions of the server.
1.
Power off the server and disconnect the power cord and all the cables connected on the
rear of the server.
2.
Remove the left side cover (see Chapter 9).
3.
Remove the jumper from position 2 - 3 on jumper block.
4.
Install the jumper on position 1 - 2 (CMOS clear) of the jumper block. Refer to the
following figure to find the location of this jumper.
