Chapter 2 Preparations

Removing Side Cover
You need to remove side cover when installing or removing the following component or change internal cable
connection:
Optical disk drive,
Non-hot-plug HDD,
DIMM,
processor,
TPM module,
Internal Flash Memory,
Additional HDD cage,
PCI board,
RAID Controller,
Battery for RAID Controller,
5.25-inch device,
Power supply unit
Fan unit

Refer to steps 1 to 5 in
Chapter 2 (1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal)
for preparations.
2.
Loosen thumb nut on the rear panel.
3.
Hold the handle and move the side cover toward rear of the server.
4.
Lift off the side cover from the server.
