Message
allows you to send messages to email addresses with attachments. A maximum of 60 attachments are
allowed per email, with the total data size not exceeding 100 KB, including the message text. Attachable files
include ringtunes (MID), images (GIF, JPEG, BMP), audio (AAC, WMA), video (MPEG4) and any other types
of files. You can set 10 addressees each for the
To
and
Cc
(Carbon Copy) fields, and 5 for the
Bcc
(Blind
Carbon Copy) field of an email.
The received emails are stored on the email server. The list of emails in
Email Inbox
is synchronised with the
emails stored on the server:
If you change the USIM card or change the username from
Username
in
Email settings
and access the
server, all the received emails stored in the
Email Inbox
cache are discarded.
You can carry out the synchronisation of the email list by selecting
Refresh Inbox
from the submenus. Also,
the new emails received will be added to the list by selecting
Check for new Email
.
Email service is only available in the 3G mode.
Email Operations Inside/Outside 3G Service Area
•
When the handset is in the 3G service area, the synchronisation of the list of emails stored on the email
server and e808 is carried out automatically whenever the
Inbox
is opened, or an item is deleted
from the list. The newly received emails are also automatically added to the list.
•
If the handset is outside the 3G service area when you use the Email function, a message stating that the
handset is outside the service area will be displayed. Outside the 3G service area, you cannot receive/
send emails. If you try to send an email outside the 3G service area, the email is saved in the
