Trunk Ring Over Page
Trunk ringing can optionally broadcast over External Paging speakers. For each trunk, the Paging
speakers can broadcast ringing for all calls ringing the trunk, for calls ringing only at night, or for
delay ring calls. While a trunk rings External Paging, any extension user can dial a code (
ICM
+
*0
)
to pick up the call. If Door Box chimes, ringing, and Background Music are all programmed to out-
put over External Paging, the system uses the following broadcast priority:

Paging
●
Door Box chimes
●
Ringing
●
Background Music
Note that External Paging can broadcast either extension ringing or trunk ringing, not both. In
addition, External Paging requires additional customer-provided equipment. Refer to the Hardware
Manual that came with your system for more.
Programming
0202-Page Ring Source
Use this option to assign trunk ringing as the ring source for the External Page zone. By default,
this option is unassigned (none).
To enter data:
1.
Enter the programming mode.
2.
Dial 0202 +
HOLD
.
3.
Press
Vol Up
until you see:
PG RING SRC [NONE]
.
To see the available entries for this option, press HOLD before going to the next step.
The entries are E (extension), T (trunk), and N (none).
To clear this entry (i.e., reset to NONE), press CLEAR.

Press
CONF
to exit program 0202.
When entering data, pressing:

Vol Up advances to next prompt.
●
Vol Down backs up to the previous prompt.
●
CHECK restores the previous entry.
●
HOLD registers the entry and advances to the next prompt.

CONF exists the program.
0203-UNA Ringing Over External Page
If 0202-Page Ring Source is set to trunk, use 0203-UNA Ringing Over External Page to select the
type of trunk ringing that will broadcast over the External Paging speakers. By default, ringing is
disabled for all trunks. For each trunk, the ring options are:
0 = Never
1 = Always
2 = Night only
3 = Delay ring only (i.e., rings after the 0401-Trunk Delay Ring interval)
To enter data:

Enter the programming mode.
