Chapter 9: Troubleshooting

Damaged Print

The print is damaged, torn, or creased.

•

Make sure you are using only new
undamaged paper.

•

The paper path may be contaminated. Open
the Top cover, remove the Toner module and
check for loose pieces of paper jammed in the
paper path. Remove the paper and print
several blank sheets to help clear out the
contamination.

•

Make sure your paper is not damp.

•

Make sure the paper is loaded into the printer
correctly.

Blurred Image

•

Make sure only recommended paper is used.

•

Make sure only fresh, dry paper is being used.

•

There may be a problem with the paper
feeding mechanism. Call NEC Printer
Technical Support at 800-632-4650.
