5. After fixing the tape in place, remount the retainer and tighten to prevent the core from

sliding.

  Also, ensure that the screw is inserted into a notch on the cardboard core.

NOTE:

The take-up spool has a roll pin that must be inserted in the retainer plate when
mounting.  This is added insurance that the core will not slide on the spool.

6. Press the 

[CTRL]+[K]

 keys to initiate the cleaning tape.  It will continue to run until the

[CTRL]+[K]

 keys are pressed again.  Ensure that there is no slippage and that the tape

moves freely and evenly.  However, movement of the tape will be “strained” due to the
adhesive.
