Replacing Cleaning Tape
Removing Old Tape
1. Pause unit operation (Press WAIT switch). Never place fingers into an operating unit.
2. Unscrew the retainer knob on the take-up spool by rotating it in a counter-clock wise
direction. Next, remove the retainer plate. (Refer to Figure 5-3.)
3. Slide the full core from the take-up spool and discard.
Installing New Tape
1. Unscrew the retainer knob and remove the retainer plate from the source spool. Next,
remove the empty core.
2. Mount the empty core on the take-up spool.
3. Unwind approximately 10” of tape from the new tape core.
4. While sliding the new tape core on the supply spool so that it will unwind in a clockwise
direction; thread the tape under the guide rod, then around the cleaning roller, and up to
the take-up spool core.
