7. To loosen the Flywheel hardware, use a 15 mm open end wrench to
hold the Axle Nut (G) on one side steady and loosen the Axle Nut on the
opposite side with a 15 mm socket and wrench. Remove the Axle Nuts
from the Flywheel axle (H). Set the hardware safely aside for reassembly.
8. Using a 10mm wrench, loosen and remove the Flywheel Retainer nut
(J1) that is closest to the Frame. Remove the Tensioner eyebolt (D) and
Nut (J2) from the Flywheel axle (H) and Tensioner support (E1). Remove
the Nut from the eyebolt. Set the Nuts aside for reassembly.
NOTICE:
It may be necessary to move the Flywheel (F). This step
may require two people.
9. Installation is the reverse procedure.
NOTICE:
Do not crimp any cables. Install the new Flywheel
Tensioners (D) at the position that you recorded in
step 6. Make sure the Flywheel (F) can turn easily.
Installation does not require the use of the crank puller. Be sure the Crank
Arms are connected at 180° from each other.
10. Make sure that the Drive Belt tension is correct. Refer to the “Adjust
the Belt Tension” procedure.
11. Final
Inspection
Inspect your machine to ensure that all hardware is tight and components
are properly assembled.
Do not use until the machine has been fully
assembled and inspected for correct
performance in accordance with the Owner’s
Manual.
