identification code, as follows:
(a)
Verify requirements of paragraph 3.8.5 - Keyer
Pre-Installation have been completed.
(b)
Set switches to position tabulated for
Calibration Setting
in table 4-1.
(c)
Verify 'intended' carrier level has been set as
described in paragraph 5.3.5.
(d)
Verify 'intended' modulation depth has been set
as described in paragraph 5.3.6.
(e)
Set

(g)
Adjust
VOLUME
potentiometer R1 for an
audible keyed beacon identification tone.
(h)
The deciphered coded portion of the
identification message shall be the identification

Using a stopwatch, measure and record the time
from the start of the code of one frame to the
start of the code of the next frame.
(j)
The time recorded in step (i) shall be between 5
and 16 seconds (typically 8 seconds).

Standby '1' and Standby '2' Codes
:
Verify standby '1' and standby '2' code operation, as
follows:
(a)
Verify the requirements detailed in paragraph
5.3.7.1 have been met.
(b)
Set switches to positions tabulated for
Calibration Setting
in table 4-1.
(c)
Verify 'intended' RF carrier level has been set
as described in paragraph 5.3.5.
(d)
Verify 'intended' modulation depth has been set
as described in paragraph 5.3.6.
(e)

Remove the ground from A11TB1-21.
(k)
Connect a jumper between A11TB1-3 and
ground.
(l)
Deciphered identification code shall contain the
assigned standby '2' variation.
(m) Remove the ground from A11TB1-3.
