13.4. Using the External Power Pack Kit

The Trex HD external battery pack is connected to the Trex HD via the mini-USB input. When the external
battery pack is providing power to the Trex HD, the green external power LED light remains on.

To use the power pack kit:

1. Insert two brand new AA batteries into the Trex HD.

2. Start an EEG or PSG study.

3. Initiate an ambulatory recording through the software or by disconnecting the Trex HD from the

acquisition computer.

4. Connect a fully charged power pack to the Trex HD using the Trex HD cable provided.

5. Place the power pack securely in the Trex HD pouch with the headbox. Keep the power pack

connected for the duration of the study.

It is recommended that the power pack be charged to full capacity prior to each use. To charge it,
disconnect the Trex HD cable from the power pack; connect the power supply to the power pack; and
plug it into a wall outlet. The charging time to full capacity is approximately 5.5 hours. For additional
