Then:
a. All DC channels, differential channels 2 to 4, pulse rate (PR) and oxygen saturation (OSAT) must
be
turned off
on the acquisition station;
b. Sampling frequency must be set to
200 Hz
;
c. Two new AA batteries must be inserted in the Trex HD, and
d. A power pack must be connected after ambulatory recording is initiated.
NOTES:
With the settings described in this section (with brand new AA batteries and a
fully charged power pack) it is recommended that patients be advised to replace the
internal batteries according to a fixed schedule:
Standard ambulatory EEG studies:
Not required for at least 72 hours (every 24
hours thereafter)
The guidelines in this section apply when AA batteries are inserted and remain in the Trex
HD during the duration of the ambulatory recording, in conjunction with the power pack. Do
not remove the internal batteries during study recording. If you need to replace the batteries
or to restart the Trex HD for any reason, first disconnect the battery pack, then replace the
batteries.
