Conventions Used in This Manual
The following conventions are used in this manual.
bold
Bold text denotes menus, menu items, LEDs, dialog box buttons, and
options.
italic
Italic text denotes emphasis, a cross reference, or an introduction to a key
concept.
bold italic
Bold italic text denotes a note, caution, or warning.
monospace
Text in this font denotes the proper names of disk drives, paths,
directories, programs, subprograms, filenames, and extensions.
bold monospace
Bold text in this font denotes the messages and responses that the
computer automatically prints to the screen.
Model 500 Series
The term Model 500 Series is used in this manual to refer to the
VXIpc-486 Models 500, 566, and 599 embedded computers. When
there are any differences among the three models, this manual describes
them specifically.
