5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
5.1. Bending principles
The bending of the different profiles and tubes is carried out by passing the material through the three
driven rollers located at the front of the machine. Out of these 3 rollers, there is one fixed, and the
remaining two are moveable. In this way and depending on the relative position of these three elements, it
is possible to achieve the desired radius.
In order to move the aforementioned rollers, there is a bench with a touch panel, as well as an orange
safety button and a 4
-
way joystick. The button and the joystick are located one on each side of the bench
and it is necessary the joint intervention of these two elements, to carry out any movement with the
machine. So, we prevent from any accident to occur because the operator will always have both hands on
the control panel when the bending machine is in motion.
The aforementioned button also has a pilot light indicating when it is possible to activate it. Thus, pressing it
with the indicator off will not give the machine any order.
All the other information necessary to give any command to the bending machine and receive information
from it, is done through the touch panel also located on the table. Through this element it is possible to
operate the machine manually or automatically, select the different traction rollers, create and execute
programs, save and load programs, enter information about the bending (material, rollers used, height,
width, thickness,
…).
In addition, all the alarms and possible errors also appear in this interface, which
comes to be very useful to know what is happening at all times
