Setting Modem Time-Out
Every time you dial a call, whether manually or using speed-dial, the
modem will wait for the far end
FieldFone

StudioFone
to answer. The time that your
FieldFone II
will wait
before giving up is set by the following sequence:

Please note that for international dialing, the time out period may need
to be extended from the factory default.
Answer Ring Number
The user can select on what ring number the
FieldFone II
will answer
an incoming call. The number of rings that the
FieldFone II
will wait
before answering is set by the command sequence:

Be careful not to set the ring number so high that the calling
FieldFone

StudioFone
will time out before your unit
answers.
Auto Re-dial
The
FieldFone II
can automatically re-dial and re-establish a connection
whenever a call is terminated abnormally. Therefore, when this option
is active, only the call originator should terminate the connection, or
else the originating
FieldFone
,
FieldFone II
or
StudioFone
will re-dial.
To control this function, use the command sequence:
<Set Up><Auto Redial>
‘AT’ Commands
The
FieldFone II
uses a state-of-the-art Hayes compatible modem. All
standard ‘AT’ modem commands are supported, and can be entered
using the keypad and command sequence:
<Operation><Modem control><AT Command>.
