Discussion of the available commands is beyond the scope of this Users
Guide. For a complete list of the available modem commands, contact
MUSICAM USA.
User Profile
The FieldFone II is shipped from the factory with the internal modem
configured for North American operation, no PBX. Modem operation
in some foreign countries, or when using a PBX may require different
modem settings. For example, some countries do not use dial tones,
and have different ring and busy tones.
Your FieldFone II does not automatically save these modem profiles.
Once these modem profiles are entered using ‘AT’ commands, they will
be lost when the FieldFone II is turned off. You can save the current
modem profile for later recall using the command sequence:
<Operation><Modem control><User Profile>
Manual Dialing
Once all audio and phone connections have been made, and all
functions have been set up properly, you are now ready to dial into a
far end FieldFone , FieldFone II or StudioFone . The manual dialing
function of the FieldFone II can be accessed in one of two ways. You
can use the key sequence:
<Operation><Modem Control><Dial><
phone number
>
and press
ENTER
or
press the
DIAL
button, enter the phone number, and press
ENTER
.
The phone number can contain the following dial modifiers:
P Pulse dialing first character only
T Tone dialing first character only
, 2 second pause
W Wait for second dial tone
! Flash (1/2 second)
@ Wait for 5 seconds of silence
; Return to command mode after
dialing
All dial modifiers can be accessed with multiple presses of the
key.
