boots. A ‘0’ reset will erase all user profiles.
To reset only the factory defaults, retaining the speed dial directory,

complete. To erase all speed dial entries, but maintain the current
configuration, turn the power on while holding the ‘2’ key until the
boot process is complete.
Using the Relay Outputs
FieldFone II
contains four internal relays that can be used for alarms,
cueing, or controlling external equipment. The four internal relay
contacts and CUE LEDs in the
FieldFone II
are controlled from any far-
end
FieldFone, FieldFone II
or
StudioFone
that is connected and
framed. In a similar manner, your
FieldFone II
can control the relays
and LEDs in any connected
FieldFone II
or
StudioFone
. To activate
the relays of the far-end unit, simply press the Function keys F1
through F4 to activate relays 1 through 4. These are non-latching,
momentary contact relays, and will stay closed only as long as the digit
keys are held down. The four CUE lamps are directly linked to the
relays to confirm relay activation. Both normally open and normally
closed relay contacts are available. Refer to Appendix C for the
connector pin-out.
Software Upgrades
Since all control and signal processing functions are contained in
software, it is not necessary to return your
FieldFone II
to the factory
when software upgrades are required. It is also possible for the factory
to run diagnostics on your
FieldFone II
simply by connection to it over
the standard phone line. Selecting the command sequence:
<Operation><Modem Control><Mode><
mode
>
Where <
mode
> = Phone, Data, Diagno, or Server
enables the download and/or diagnostic modes. Selecting ‘
Phone

allows simple downloads over the phone line. Selecting
‘
Data
’ allows
the internal modem to be isolated from the audio section of the
FieldFone II
for modem diagnostics and configuration. Selecting
‘
Diagno
’
allows the factory to remotely check the operation and
functions of the
FieldFone II
, and selecting
