c) Place on an anti-static mat, connect 1.3V DC and switch on.
d) With a x10 probe connected to the oscilloscope measure points 1 to 13 in Table 5
and compare the resultant waveforms with those in Figure 5.
Power Supply Voltage Adjustment
16.
There is no facility for adjusting the power supplies.
Battery Low Circuit Test
17.
To check for correct operation of the battery low circuit the option must be enabled in
the EEPROM. Connect a dummy battery to a variable DC power supply. Plug the
dummy battery into the pager and set the PSU output to 1.1V DC.
18.
Switch on the pager. It should go through the normal start-up procedure except for the
switch-on beep which is replaced by the low battery buzz. All the pixels are displayed
with the alert LED, then the sequential address display, then the switch-on message,
followed by the message `BAT'. Press the Memory Recall button and `Low Battery' is
displayed. If the pager is called, the beep pattern is changed to a buzz pattern.
19.
Switch off the pager and increase the PSU output to 1.2V DC. Switch on the pager and
the normal switch-on beep should be heard.
