Engage barring tool (2) in ring gear of fly-
wheel and mount on flywheel housing.

3.

Fit ratchet (1) on barring tool.

Note:

No resistance other than compression resist-
ance must be encountered.

4.

Rotate crankshaft in engine direction of rota-
tion.

Result:

If the resistance exceeds the normal com-
pression resistance, contact Service.

5.

For barring tool removal follow reverse se-
quence of working steps.
