Engine oil – Level check
Preconditions
• Engine is stopped and starting disabled.
Checking oil level prior to engine start
1. Withdraw dipstick from guide tube and wipe it.
2. Insert dipstick into guide tube up to the stop,
withdraw after approx. 10 seconds and check
oil level.
Note:
After extended standstill, the oil level may
exceed the mark (1) by up to 2 cm. This
can be caused by oil flowing from e.g. oil
filter or heat exchanger back to the oil pan.
3. The oil level must reach the mark (1) or exceed the
mark (1) by up to 2 cm.
4. If necessary, top up to the mark (1) (

Checking oil level after the engine is stopped
1. 5 minutes after stopping the engine, remove oil dipstick from the guide tube and wipe it.
2. Insert dipstick into guide tube up to the stop, withdraw after approx. 10 seconds and check oil level.
3. Oil level must be between marks (1) and (2).
4. If necessary, top up to the mark (1) (
